# Curriculum quality standards

A engaging preview and video compelling thumbnail are crucial, as they serve as the face of your curriculum and can significantly attract potential learners.

### **Video**

All videos must meet the following criteria:

* **Resolution**: 1080p, 720p, 480p, or 360p
  * 1080p: (Full HD) 1920x1080
  * 720p: (HD) 1280x720
  * 480p: (SD) 854x480
  * 360p: 640x360
* **Aspect Ratio**: 16:9
* **File Format**: MP4
* **File Size**: Under 4GB
* At least 30 minutes of video content in a curriculum. Each video should not exceed 60 minutes in length.
* For the Preview video, it is best to be two to four minutes short.
* Lesson thumbnails are automatically generated by cutting out a moment from your video. Select the thumbnail of your choice. To make a great impression on the preview, ensure this portion is visually appealing and representative of the lesson content.

### **Audio**

To maintain a professional and engaging learning environment on AnyCampus, please refer to the following standards:

* **Audio Quality**: Audio recordings must be clear, intelligible, and balanced across left and right channels, free from distracting background noise or distortions.
* **Audio Synchronization**: The audio track must accurately synchronize with the corresponding video content.
* **Consistent and Adequate Volume**: Maintain consistent and adequate audio levels throughout each lecture and across the entire course, ensuring comfortable listening without requiring learners to adjust their device volume excessively.

### **Thumbnail**

Creating a high-quality thumbnail is essential for attracting learners to your curriculum. To maintain a professional and engaging look on AnyCampus, please refer to the following standards and tips:

#### Basic Standards

* **Image Size and Format**: Use images larger than 1024x576 pixels, in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png file formats.
* **Image Style Preference**: Prefer a single, unedited image for a simpler look with fewer visual elements. Cutout or cropped images of yourself (creator) are optional.
* **Text Inclusion**: Text can be included. Keep it simple and easy to read.

#### Tips for Creating Thumbnails

* **Clear Message**: Learners should be able to understand what you will share in a curriculum just by looking at the thumbnail.
* **Simplicity**: Minimize the number of visual elements and details to enhance understanding and maintain a professional look.
* **Background**: Ensure the background behind the text is simple and doesn't distract from the readability of the text.

#### Additional Recommendations

* **High-Quality Images**: Ensure your images are high-resolution to avoid pixelation and maintain a professional appearance.
* **Consistent Branding**: Use a consistent color scheme and style to create a cohesive look across your content.
* **Readable Fonts**: Choose fonts that are easy to read and ensure there is good contrast between the text and the background.
* **Engaging Visuals**: Use expressive and relevant visuals that relate to your curriculum content.
* **Accurate Representation**: Ensure your thumbnail accurately represents the content of your curriculum to set correct expectations for learners.
* **Professionalism**: Avoid using overly crowded or cluttered images. A clean and simple design is more likely to attract viewers.
